Molly and Thady's Chilren: Paddy Brann Manning, Mary Ann, James 'Jimo', Kathleen 'Kathy' and cousin Jim Brann.

Here is a photo taken in Kilrush probably in the 1930s.  We see some of the children of Thady and Molly from the last image.  They had about 10 children and 3 or 4 of them are visible here.

Kathleen - Kathy - is the youngest in this photo - she could have been about 16 when it was taken.  She got tuberculosis at the age of 19 and died shortly after.  We think she is buried in pre-famine graveyard Old Shanakyle in Kilrush.

James 'Jimo' Manning is probably in his early twenties here. He lived until 1973 and was married to Annie Eustace and they had 3 children - Timothy ('Teddy'), Mary and Kathy.  If Jimo and Annie were alive at this moment they would have 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Both Jimo and his wife Annie are buried in New Shanakyle Graveyard, Kilrush, County Clare.  Their son Timothy - Teddy - who died in 2002 is buried there with them.

Mary Ann Manning  was in her late 20s early 30s in this photo.   She married a German man in the U.S., she didn't have any family and she also died from tuberculosis in 1933 age 33.  She is buried with Kathy and their brother Joe in Old Shanakyle, Kilrush.

Paddy Brann Manning as we will call him here was born of Thady and Molly in the U.S. where they  had met while working 'cropsharing' (perhaps see wiki crop share .. ).  Apparently they were not married at that point so birth records for Paddy Brann Manning should exist in the place in the U.S. where Thady and Molly were working.  From the post on his brother Joe Manning above there is some clue that Paddy might have served in World War I but we have yet to confirm this.  Paddy lived into his seventies or eighties and is buried in Nebraska in the U.S.

(The other people in this photo are 'Birdy' Griffin, someone Carrig and ... )
